Vashti G HindsBorn on the East Coast of Demerara, Vashti Hinds was mostly raised in the Upper Demerara River district of the Christianburg which is a component of what is now known as Linden. She attended the Church of Scotland School at Christianburg, then St. Joeph's Convent High School in Georgetown before leaving British Guiana at the age 16 to attend Caribbean Union College ain Trinidad.
