Vasant ShindeVasant Shinde, a former Professor and Vice-Chancellor at the Deccan College Post-Graduate and Research Institute, Pune, and presently a CSIR Bhatnagar Fellow at CCBM, Hyderabad, is a world-renowned archaeologist in South Asia. Over the last 43 years e has pioneered archaeological research, specialising in the protohistory of South Asia and maritime history as well as field archaeology. Prof. Shinde has completed 16 major research projects, in the process of which he has collaborated with scholars and institutes from around the world. Dong Hoon Shin currently researches paleopathology and biological anthropology as a professor in Seoul National University, South Korea. His research has been mainly focused on the acquisition of data on pre-modern health and disease. Using research tools ranging from anatomical and histological techniques to various biochemical analyses, he has worked to reveal the changing patterns of physical and pathological traits throughout human history. Banani Bhattacharyya is a field archaeologist and Deputy Director in the Department of Archaeology and Museums, Haryana (since 2015). She has contributed many articles in different journals and books of national and international repute. She has also carried out archaeological excavations in West Bengal, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
