VanDorn HinnantVandorn Hinnant's art career spans a period of fifty years. His 1980 inclusion in the North Carolina Museum of Art group exhibition "Afro American Artists: NC, USA" was sufficient impetus for him to dedicate his life to creating imagery for the edifiation of the human mind/spirit. He studied Art Design at NC A&T State University and studied sculpture at University of North Carolina-Greensboro. Today, the artist spends most of his time working on sculpture commissions and creating sculptural forms that continuously unfold inside of his expansive imagination. Most of Hinnant's career has been spent creating works that are organized into the following series: Organic Abstractions, The Portal Series, Geometric Abstractions, The Totemic Sculpture Series, and the MetaPhysical Geometries Series. His works of art are in numerous corporate collections and in a great many private collections across North America.
