Valerie Komkov HillValerie Komkov Hill was born in Stockport, England in 1950 and spent much of her early childhood in South and Central Africa. Her family emigrated to the U.S. in 1957 and she has lived in Lubbock, Texas since 1969, attending Texas Tech University andreceiving a BFA in Art, a BA in Dance, and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies.More recently she has been active as an award-winning artist, showing works both locally and nationally, primarily in the mediums of painting and fiber art.
