Valentina GiuffraValentina Giuffra is Associate Professor of History of Medicine at the Department of Translational Research and New Technologies in Medicine and Surgery of the University of Pisa. Her major lines of research have focused on the paleopathology and biorchaeology of medieval and Renaissance populations, applying a broad approach to the study of large skeletal series, combining methodologies from palaeodemography, physical anthropology, paleopathology and forensic science.
