Umesh Chandra DumkaDr. Umesh Chandra Dumka (ARIES, Nainital, India) is working as a Scientist-E in the Atmospheric Science Division, at ARIES, Nainital, India. He completed his Ph.D. in 2008 and had four years of post-doctoral experience. In 2011, he joined as a scientst at ARIES, Nainital, India. Since then, he and his group are actively involved in the in-situ measurements of aerosol optical and physical properties. His scientific interests cover a wide range of topics in atmospheric chemistry and physics from in-situ and remote sensing of atmospheric aerosols, aerosol chemistry, and climate to optical and microphysical properties of aerosols including carbonaceous aerosols with emphasis on elemental carbon, black/brown carbon and organic carbon, secondary aerosol formation, and air pollution, and aerosol-cloud-climate interactions, extreme phenomena such as biomass burning and dust storms, solar/renewal energy, etc. Read More Read Less
