Ulrich KnellwolfUlrich Knellwolf, born in 1942, grew up in the German part of Switzerland. After studying theology in Basel, Bonn and Zurich, he graduated with a doctorate on the 19th-century Swiss author and priest Jeremias Gotthelf, who also combined narrative andtheology. Knellwolf has been a priest since 1969 and published the first of many books in 1992.
