Trudy B Harvey TaitTrudy was born to Edwin & Lillian Harvey in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1945 and was registered with the US Consul there as an American citizen. She began school in Scotland and later attended Kelsick Grammar School in the lake district of England. Universty was postponed in preference to becoming a stopgap missionary in Malawi, Africa, for two years. Upon her return she studied at Emanuel Bible College, Birkenhead and then joined her parents in the interdenominational mission they had established―Message of Victory Evangelism. It was there she met and married her husband, R. Barry Tait, in 1972 and in 1974 gave birth to her only child, Dr. Edwin R. Tait. In 1981, she and her family moved to the United States, followed some months later by her parents. Having shipped thousands of books to America, the Harvey-Tait family began to search for a suitable location in which to write and continue producing devotional literature. They finally settled in Hampton, TN. In 1983, Edwin F. Harvey Passed into Life and with his passing, Trudy assumed a greater role in helping her mother publish books from the extensive files in their possession. When her son, Edwin, whom she had home schooled, entered college at fifteen, Trudy finally embarked upon a university education, graduating together with her son in 1993. About that time, she learned Russian and Romanian and was instrumental in establishing a center in both St. Petersburg, Russia, and Ploiesti, Romania, for the translation and publishing of her parents' books. When her mother became incapacitated in 2002, Trudy and her husband, Barry, became directors of Harvey Christian Publishers (HCP). In that same year, she wrote her first novel, The Velvet Curtain, while caring for her ailing mother. It developed into a trilogy and was followed by Love Me & Let Me Go, Licky the Singing Mouse, and Three in Love (the romances of famous Christians).
