Trevor TaylorTrevor Taylor grew up in Gunner's Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador, where the outdoors, fishing, birds, and boats were as big a part of growing up as going to school. He cut his high teeth fishing cod in the midship room of a trap skif before working for the Newfoundland Fishermen's Union and captaining a 55-foot crab and shrimp fishing vessel. Later on, he was Minister of Fisheries and helped establish one of Canada's leading ocean conservation organizations. He now lives in Iqaluit, Nunavut with his wife, Udloriak, and dog, Gunner.
