Tony Ray MorrisTony Morris was born in North Carolina and spent his childhood in Georgia and Kentucky. Until his mid-thirties, he worked odd jobs (bicycle repairman, window glazer, and encyclopedia salesman) and then as a machine operator. In 1992 Morris quit his pper factory job for journalism. He began writing poetry in 1995, and earned a Ph.D in English from Florida State University. He currently teaches at Georgia Southern University.
