Tonja HartjesTonja Hartjes is a critical care nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience in many different capacities. She is currently Associate DNP Program Director at Abilene Christian Universityand is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitoners. She is a researcher and peer reviewer for Critical Care Nurse and the American Journal of Nursing. Additionally, she serves on the editorial boards for Annals of Nursing and Practice, Journal of Palliative Care and Medicine and Journal of Pain & Relief. Furthermore, she has served as editor for the 7th edition of AACNs "Core Curriculum" text, Academic Education contributing editor for Critical Care Nurse, and guest editor for Critical Care Nursing Clinics of North America.
