Tommye W HaydenI was born in an oil lease near Wewoka, Oklahoma. Throughout our life, our teachers instilled in each of us a strong desire to learn and reach our highest potential. After completing high school in three years, at age of sixteen, I entered nurses traning at Hotel Dieu in El Paso, Texas. I left school, married and had three children. 15 years later, my marriage ended in divorce. I had just completed my freshman year of college. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas in El Paso (U.T.E.P) in 1965. It was difficult pursuing a degree while raising and supporting three children, but with Gold's help, we managed. After graduation, we moved to Conroe, Texas, where I obtained a teaching position. I taught school, worked summer vacations for two doctors and served as choir director at First Baptist Church. As a single parent, three jobs were a necessity for our welfare. In later years I served in other churches. I completed my Master's Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1970. I married Brian Hayden in 1979. I was their caregiver for sixteen years and thirteen years respectively. I have one published work entitled "HIS WONDERFUL PRESENCE". Read More Read Less
