Tim StanleyTim Stanley is senior curator for the Middle Eastern collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London. He joined the Museum in 2002 and his first project was the travelling exhibition Palace and Mosque: Islamic Art from the Victria and Albert Museum (2004-6). His most recent has been the exhibition Epic Iran (2021). He has been a lead curator on major gallery redevelopments, and he established the Jameel Prize, a triennial international award for contemporary art and design inspired by Islamic tradition that is now in its sixth cycle (2021). Tim has a strong research interest in the arts of the book and in decorative arts, especially Iranian lacquer.
