Tim FancherTim Fancher BiographyTim Fancher never envisioned himself as an author, even though he earned a degree in History and had gained some writing experience along the way. But, later circumstances in life opened his eyes to becoming a writer. After graduting from high school, Tim received a college scholarship to play baseball at Mississippi College. After his sophomore year at MC, he transferred to Mississippi State University, where he played college baseball and won the 1989 SEC regular-season championship as a pitcher. Then, he graduated with honors from Mississippi State University and served at his alma mater as an award-winning Academic Advisor (Coordinator) to undeclared and pre-engineering students. In 2013, he was named Staff Advisor of the Year and received a NACADA (National Academic Advising Association) Certificate of Merit for outstanding advising.Tim has always been a family man-he and his wife Wanda had three children: Lindsi, Logan, and Larson, the apples of their parents' eyes. But when Lindsi was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor, life changed for the Fancher family. After Lindsi's death, Tim felt called by God to share his family's story-the duplicity of horrifying grief and inspiring courage. Lindsi's Legacy is Tim's first book, a mission to share hope when all seems lost. Tim is now retired, and as a Christian, he is passionate about sharing Lindsi's story because it also allows him the opportunity to share his testimony of God's grace for him and his family. In all things, Tim desires to bring honor to the Lord through proclaiming the truth of God's mercy and love. In his spare time, Tim works on his various hobby collections-from baseball cards to coins and other interesting sundries. Tim's life has been riddled with loss-first when his daughter succumbed to cancer and later, when his wife died of COVID-19, but through it all, his faith in God has never wavered. Through his pain, Tim reflects on one of his favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 6:10. "Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might." This verse reminds him of God's ever-present strength that has carried him through life's obstacles. Read More Read Less
