Thomas RömerThomas Römer is Professor at the Collège de France and its President since 2019 and is Professor Emeritus of the University of Lausanne. He holds honorary doctorates from Tel Aviv University and the Catholic University of Lyon. His crrent research covers the formation of the Torah, the so-called Deuteronomistic History and its social and historical setting, as well as the relationship between literary and archaeological approaches to understanding the Hebrew Bible. He is one of the main editors of the Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception.
