Thomas J McAvoyThomas J. McAvoy is professor emeritus in the department of chemical and biomolecular engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. He has authored over two hundred technical publications, many of which are highly cited. McAvoy received hi BS in chemical engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute (1961) and his PhD in chemical engineering from Princeton University (1964).
