Thomas F YezerskiThomas F. Yezerski is the illustrator of fourteen books for children, and the author of four of those. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and growing up in different towns in eastern PA, Tom always loved books and imagining the scenes within. He began aking art lessons in third grade, by riding his bike to a local artist's studio every Saturday morning to copy greeting cards in chalk pastel. In addition to writing and drawing, Tom also played xylophone in the high school band and earned the Boy Scout rank of Eagle Scout by building a Lenni Lenape wigwam for the Museum of Indian Culture in Allentown, PA. He currently lives in Hoboken, New Jersey, with his wife Eleni. Tom wrote and illustrated Meadowlands: A Wetlands Survival Story while living for twelve years in Rutherford, NJ. The New York Times listed Meadowlands in its Notable Children's Books of 2011, and the New York Public Library listed it among its Best Non-Fiction Books of 2011. Read More Read Less
