Thomas DukesThomas Dukes was born in Gainesville, Florida, and grew up in Aiken, South Carolina. He received his BA and MA in English (Creative Writing) from The University of Texas at El Paso. He received his Ph.D. in English (Modern Literature) from Purdue Uniersity. He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of English at The University of Akron, where he taught and served as an administrator.
