Theresa Chatman

Theresa ChatmanRev. Dr. Theresa Chatman surrendered to God's call to spread the Gospel through ministry in February 2001. She was ordained as a Baptist minister under Bishop A. Tim Chatman in October 2002. She was appointed as youth overseer for Global Impact Minisries, and as a youth pastor under the leadership of Senior Pastor Bishop A. Tim Chatman, at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Ailey, Georgia. In 2010, she completed a two-year program in Urban Youth Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary Youth Institute, in Pasadena, California. Rev. Dr. Chatman has served as a youth worker for over 25 years. She is married to James A. Chatman, Sr. They have two adult children and one school-aged child. She is an educator in the Dublin City School System and has worked in education for over 18 years. She attended Brewton Parker College where she obtained an Associates of Arts, Associate of Applied Science in Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She later earned a Master's of Education in Special Education, Education Specialist, with a major in Teaching and Learning from Georgia Southern University. In August of 2015, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy with a major in Special Education Leadership from Capella University. Rev. Dr. Chatman loves preaching and teaching the Word of God, and she spends her free time enjoying her family, reading, and writing. Much of the work she does in ministry involves youth ministry where she facilitates Bible Studies and plans and organizes events at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
