He received "Ching-lin Tien Fellowship" from The Asia Foundation and the "nternational Freedom to Publish Award" from American Publishers Association. In 2006 he founded Myanmar Book Aid and Preservation Foundation, which gives support to public libraries with books, internet service, tablets and training for librarians.
