Terry Lawton

Terry LawtonTerry Lawton is an angling historian, writer and committed trout fisherman who also fly fishes for pike and grayling, at home and abroad. He has had articles published in leading UK magazines including Fly Fishing & Fly Tying and Trout and Salmon andin magazines in Australia - FlyLife - and the Czech Republic. He has fished a number of times in Sweden - including in the Arctic in Swedish Lapland - for trout, Arctic char, grayling and pike; France and most recently in New Zealand on both the South Island and twice on the North Island. He ties all his own flies and enjoys building fly rods too. He lives in Norfolk where he is the chairman of The Bintry Mill Trout Fishery on the river Wensum. In 1999 he caught his biggest UK fish there: a wild brown trout that weighed 4lb 2oz, on a home-tied, copper head Sawyer Pheasant Tail nymph. Read More Read Less
