Tanti SariTanti Sari resides in Palembang, Indonesia, where she works at a university as an educator and a researcher in language and literacy education. In the past, she lived in the United States for several years as a student. During her study, she participted in many activities held by the US-based Indonesian-Muslim community, where she met girls who inspired her to write this story. As an educator and a researcher, Tanti is devoted to developing transnational and multicultural literacies. Wendy Reed is an author, illustrator, educator, and consultant who teaches teachers and trains literacy coaches at The Ohio State University in the US.
