Tania WieclawTania (she/her) is an Autistic with ADHD and a mother of 2 neurodivergent children. Tania spent most of her life being undiagnosed, having to navigate through many sensory processing differences and difficulties with transitioning, without being give any tools to regulate. She spent her Primary School years being bullied and ostracised, which continued through to High School, resulting in her dropping out when she was 15. Knowing she was different, but not knowing why or how to cope with big emotions when triggers arose, left Tania feeling withdrawn and misunderstood. Tania first realised the possibility of being Autistic in 2010 after a relative brought it to her attention. She went to seek a diagnosis back then, but a diagnosis is a privilege not all can afford. Finally, in 2021 Tania received her diagnosis of Autism and ADHD and started on the path of healing and self-acceptance. Since then, she has been continuously learning about how to live with her dynamic disability, by using tools available to reduce stimuli, and by creating an environment to thrive, which she has extended to her children. One of the biggest areas of Tania's life that has positively changed, is being understood and accepted by the people she is surrounded by. By having the knowledge, lived experience, and words to express how certain situations that cause dysregulation feels, Tania is able to forward her knowledge to others, so people can understand and accept people like herself.
