Tammy Jandrey HertelTammy Jandrey Hertel received her Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics from The Pennsylvania State University. Her area of expertise is Spanish second language acquisition and foreign language teaching methodology. Dr. Hertel has been an Associate Prfessor of Spanish in the Department of Modern Languages at Lynchburg College since 2006. Prior to that she worked as a Visiting Instructor at the University of Virginia and as an Assistant Professor at Juniata College. She has traveled to numerous Spanish-speaking countries and has taught in study abroad programs in Mexico and Ecuador.
