Tamara RendellTamara Rendell has been forever fascinated by mythology, folktales and accounts of magic and mystery. She is inspired by the trees and rambling flower gardens surrounding her home and by an ocean bay along her northern horizon. An author of poetry an fiction, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Waikato Aotearoa New Zealand. She was the photographer for the Grim Tales art book published by Tauranga Women's Refuge and The Incubator Creative Hub: in which survivors of domestic violence recounted their experiences of trauma and survival. Tamara worked for several years assisting the disabled community to gain independence. Her own experience of disability through being born with one hand giving her a valuable insight into the challenges of promoting one's worth. As a poet, Tamara received an honourable mention in the Poems for Mother Earth Haiku Contest 2007, co-sponsored by Seinan Jo Gakuin University, the Fukuoka International Association, and the Japan Association for Language Teaching in Kitakyushu.
