In 1940, Tabbie (Sharie Winborne Chamberlain) was born to Howard and Ann Winborne, in the southern farming town of Winnsboro, part of the cotton belt of Louisiana. After graduating from high school in 1958, she moved to the Lake Charles area, met and married Sam Chamberlain in 1962.
