Suzie QuartermainSuzie Quartermain was writing poems and stories at a young age, winning local writing competitions in her hometown of Wangaratta in NE Victoria. She spent her teenage years living on a cattle farm at nearby Tarrawingee before going to Melbourne to stdy education. Suzie began teaching Kindergarten in 1997 before moving onto primary teaching in the early 2000's. Her daughter was born in 2003 and it has been just to two of them ever since. Suzie has taught children of all ages including students with many forms of learning and behavioural challenges, many with Autism and ADHD. Her own daughter was diagnosed with ADHD at 18. Her first book "When Louie Listened" is inspired by her daughter and the many students she has taught with symptoms of Autism and ADHD, whom she discovered, can learn, they just learn differently from others.
