Susan MillsSusan Mills is the proud mother of her incredible son, Alex, and has dedicated her life to advocating for him and others with exceptionalities. She is the Founder of the nonprofit My Autism Tribe, based in Lexington, KY. Through the DinoSprout book sries, Susan's mission is to provide children, parents, and teachers with resources that cultivate healthy conversations in a world of special needs. After spending years in New York City and Los Angeles working in the television and film industry, Susan Mills decided to make roots in her home state of Kentucky. It wasn't until her son was diagnosed with autism at the age of 2-1/2 years old that she realized there were many special needs areas that had yet to be addressed. There is a strong need to integrate special needs conversations at a young age, and what better way than through books? Susan wanted to create a way to provide children with both a mirror and a window into the special needs world. A mirror would provide children with special needs to see and learn about themselves. A window would provide children without certain special needs to learn about others. She lives in Lexington, Kentucky, with her son and husband, Cameron Mills where she manages her nonprofit and art studio. Read More Read Less
