Susan Louise RobertsSusan Louise Roberts has a B.A. with Honors in English Literature and a B.Ed. During her lengthy teaching career as a teacher-librarian she sourced and purchased the best children's literature available for large, diversely populated elementary schoos. She shared her passion for reading and in particular her love of beautiful picture books and was inspired every time kids responded to well told stories that appealed to their innate sense of fairness, justice, kindness, and love. Roberts served voluntarily on book selection review committees both for her school board as well as for the Ontario Library Association Forest of Reading Program.Roberts recently stayed with the real Ruthie at her Wilderness Sanctuary Bed and Breakfast. After hearing Ruthie's story of rescuing a dog named Lou (and learning his name), Roberts knew it was a story she had to write. Roberts lives in Mississauga, Ontario, but she and her beloved husband love to spend time at their second home, on the north shore of PEI. Roberts is grateful to have her family's support as she begins her next life chapter as a new author. Read More Read Less
