Susan L. Thompson

Susan Lynn Thompson is an award-winning author of seven books for children and adults and over 50 educational publications. Her children's books focus on nature, one on the life cycle of the monarch butterfly that received the "Outstanding ScienceBooks for Children" award from the National Book Council as well as the National Science Teachers' Association. She also published a series of books on endangered species of the Grand Canyon for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC and an adult book on persons with disabilities. She taught literature and writing at the elementary, secondary and university levels and continues to teach adults in the university-based Great Books Program.
