Steven ZanganehDr. Steven Zanganeh is an Assistant Professor at UMASS Dartmouth. He received his PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2014, from the University of Connecticut, USA. He was then awarded an NIH training grant and completed three years of postdoctoral fellwship at Stanford University, USA. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where he focused his clinical translational research efforts on innovative immunotherapy-based applications of nanoparticles. Dr. Zanganeh's research goals are directed toward developing immunoengineering systems for high-dimensional analysis of the tumor microenvironment, immuno-imaging, and uncovering the overlooked factors in sex-specific variations in nano-immunotherapy. Dr. Zanganeh links the fields of nanomedicine, immunotherapy, and molecular imaging towards more efficient and accurate diagnosis, personalized therapies and, ultimately, improved treatment outcomes and patient quality of life.
