Steve UrrySteve Urry was born in Portsmouth, England, in 1960; he emigrated to Perth, Western Australia, with his family in 1969. Steve joined the railways as a locomotive trainee engineman in 1981 spending the next 35 years on the railways, first as freigt train driver then after some years becoming a passenger railcar driver in Perth. He then spent the last 13 years as a train controller before he retired at the end of 2020, now he is travelling around Australia with his partner. Steve has enjoyed writing works of fiction for many years and self-published a fiction novel titled Natasha-Queen of Matrovia, a novel set in 1886 about a crown princess who has to fight her lunatic uncle for the crown after her father, the king, is killed.
