Stephen Evans Most of the ideas for my books are discovered. I discovered the idea for this book on my honeymoon in Key West, standing on Mallory dock watching the glorious sunset. I never forgot it, though it took more than twenty years to get it on paper. I havecome to see the book in two very different ways. I first wrote it as the adventure story, the quest of a young artist coming of age, realizing her path, and understanding the sacrifice it requires.
