Stephan WeberStephan Weber (weberconnect@freenet.de) studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Berlin. In 1990, he moved to the Hahn-Meitner Institute for Nuclear Physics. The focus here was SPICE and behavioral modeling of discrete semiconducors, integrated circuits, etc. After receiving his Ph.D. on semiconductor modeling, he moved to Siemens Technologies in 1995, where he was designing RF receivers, power amps, etc., in bipolar, SiGe, CMOS, and BiCMOS technologies for high-volume commercial applications. He holds over 20 patents on analog/RF circuits and system topologies. Now, he is a principal application engineer in the Munich Cadence Custom IC team, with focus on simulators and analog design enviroments. He also wrote many articles for European design magazines (Elektronik, Elrad, Elektor) and is the creator of the interactive EE encyclopedia Elekta (published with Franzis and Noble) in 1998. He is now working in the EDA industry, supporting and developing custom IC design software; and having fun with analog circuit design. Read More Read Less
