Stella RutterStella Rutter was educated at Southern College of Art, Portsmouth, and went on to the Experimental Drawing Office, Whale Island. She transferred to Vickers-Armstrong, the world-famous designer of the Spitfire, where she found herself to be the only grl amongst male draughtsmen. In retirement, Stella was appointed as the first Chairman of the Central Region of the Spitfire Society in the initial year of its formation. She lives in Hampshire. Read More Read Less
