Originally a college graduate of social science and language in 1982, he was granted academic merits in biochemistry and cell biology at the University of Odense (now SDU). Subsequent to more than five years as a rsident of different English-language countries, he settled in Denmark. And later, he changed direction from being a long-time science writer to that of a fiction novelist.
