Kintzios is Dean of the School of Food Science, Biotechnology and Development, Agricultural University of Athens, Greece and Director of the Laboratory of Cell Technology. He received his PhD from the Technical University of Munich. He ha worked for over 25 years in Biotechnology, particularly in the fields of Biosensors and Cell Biology. He is the inventor of the Bioelectric Recognition Assay (BERA) and the technology of Molecular Identification through Membrane Engineering (MIME).
