Growing up in a large Jamaican Household, Simone was born with two overly intelligent and hardorking parents, a plethora of siblings from all backgrounds and an extended family that provided a strong and consistent cultural influence in her life.This created Simone's love of the arts and it is part of Simone's life work to infuse the creative arts with African and Caribbean Culture to create a heavy focus on empowerment through the control of the creating and owning our own narrative. Simone seeks to build beyond the trauma placed on and within the community to explore its unyielding greatness and its ability to thrive in all situations and conditions.
