Simon Tyrrell

Simon TyrrellSimon Tyrrell is a writer and artist whose work explores and celebrates the customary language, signs, artefacts and gestures that people use to present, protect and promote their community and make sense of the relationships, time and space they shae. These communities might be technical, cultural, geographic: real or imagined. He's a founder of The Museum of Futures in southwest London and is a member of PoPoGrou. The evolution of his practice accompanied his association with Writers' Kingston, Kingston University's literary cultural institute, with whom he co-curated an annual programme of visual literature exhibitions and events. He has performed and exhibited work at venues and festivals across London, in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Bristol and Rhodes, and his work has been published by Sampson Low, Pamenar, Poem Atlas, Mellom Press, Kingston University, Penteract, T'Art, UCL, Versopolis and Steel Incisors.
