Shirley WaskelSHIRLEY A. WASKEL is Professor of Gerontology at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Her interest in mid-life issues has led her to serve on task forces and advisory committees, develop dozens of workshops and seminars, and become involved in communit service for the aging. Waskel is a frequent contributor to periodicals and volumes on gerontology and has recently published articles on ageism, problem solving for the elderly, trends in education for older adults, and parent care.
