Shigetoshi AonoProfessor Shigetoshi Aono received a Ph.D. from Tokyo Institute of Technology at 1987. After working as a postdoctoral fellow in the University of Georgia, he was an Assistant Professor in Tokyo Institute of Technology and then an Associate Professorin the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology from 1994. He is now a Professor in the Okazaki Institute for Integrative Bioscience & Institute for Molecular Science since 2002. His research focuses on the heme-based gas sensor proteins such as CO sensor (CooA) and O2 sensors (HemAT, Aer2, and HemDGC).
