Shertzer SammyAt the young age of only 13, Sammy began working on the first illustrations for Seas Apart. Given only the manuscript, she was able to create images that captured the author's vision perfectly. Sammy is a self-taught artist without any formal trainin other than the occasional group art class. From the time she was a small girl, you would find her pen in hand as she created flawless ink sketches. Her love of animals and ocean life is well portrayed in Seas Apart as the chapter images come to life. Sammy is a very motivated and passionate artist.
