After graduating, she worked as a teacher in Yongan and Zhongping National Primary School. She also worked as a Chinese teacher in Zhongxing, Renhe and Pingnan National Junior High School. She settled in the United States with her children and her husband in 2001, and returned to the teaching profession in 2003 to teach the Chinese language. She noticed that many overseas born Chinese or nonspeaking Chinese people from other countries who wish to learn Chinese have a very difficult time learning the language, so she attended the Los Angeles Chinese Pinyin Teacher Training Course for further education and then developed an effective Hanyu Pinyin learning method. In the past 15 years, she has repeatedly implemented this method and achieved fruitful results. Because many have recognized her success in this field, she was invited as a spokesperson three times for the Teaching Workshop of the Southern California Council of Chinese School.
