Shawna ScottShawna was born in Newfoundland to a Canadian mother and a British father. She spent her school days in Gander, NL. She briefly attended Acadia University and Mount Saint Vincent University in Nova Scotia, studying Applied Human Nutrition, where she btained Dean's List status. Shawna later obtained her diploma in Licensed Practical Nursing and worked as a nurse in both Gander, NL, and Ottawa, ON. Her passion for art, music, and poetry was always apparent, and she began writing poetry around the age of twenty. Many poems in this book are from this time.
