Shatawn ReidSHATAWN REID is a native of Miami, Florida. She started her journey as a poet in 2008 in the kitchen of her Great Grandmother's home. While writing to deal with the circumstances that she was facing, she realized that her words were forming poetry. Se made her first appearance as a Spoken Word Poet on January 30th, 2010 at, what was then, The Literary Cafe and Poetry Lounge in Miami, Florida. She has appeared at several poetry venues and events during her time as a poet. In 2012, she realized that her calling was to use this gift to uplift, motivate, and inspire through the Word of God. She released her first Spoken Word album, Poetic Testimony Service, on December 4th, 2014.
