Shaswat BaruaDr. Shaswat Barua did his B.Sc. from Dibrugarh University, Assam, India. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Tezpur University, Assam, India. He has received the Prestigious CSIR Nehru Fellowship and the Commonwealth Rutherford Postdoctoral Fellowshp. Presently, Dr. Barua is working as an Assistant Manager (Quality Control) in the Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Bongaigaon Refinery, India. His research interests include synthesis and characterization of multifunctional polymers, biopolymers and biomimetic macromolecules for therapeutic applications, synthesis of peptide and self-assembly hydrogels, synthesis and characterization of biologically important nanomaterials, high performing nanocomposites, in vitro and in vivo biocompatibility assessment of biomaterials, advanced biosensors, and new generation biofuels.
