Sharon McLaughlin

Sharon McLaughlin, PhD, is a Law Lecturer in the Department of Law and Humanities at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Ireland. Sharon's research focuses on communications law and policy. She was awarded her PhD from the School of Law atthe National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) for her thesis, entitled 'The Protection of Children in the Online and New Audiovisual Services Environment'. She holds a BA in Public and Social Policy (2001), a LLB (2003) and a LLM in Public Law (2006). She is also a member of the EU Kids Online Ireland team. E-mail: sharon. mclaughlin@lyit.ie.
