Shanell KeysI've had a passion for writing since I was young, and I've always had a vivid imagination. I love a good story, and two of my favorite authors are Nicholas Sparks and Jodi Picoult. I am a sucker for a good romance, especially when I can relate to thecharacters. Although Sam and Rachel in the Promise are fictional, I hope you love them as much as I do. This is my fourth novel, and I always try to write about controversial topics that people of this day and age can relate to. Domestic violence, drug addiction and mental illness just to name a few. If my stories help someone find hope through hard circumstances in life, it is well worth all the time and energy I put into writing them.I live in Sacramento with my husband Jim and two children, Kyle and Kaitlyn who are growing up way to fast! I attended American River College where I studied early childhood education, and now I work with preschool age children.
