Seung Han WooSeung Han Woo is a professor in Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Hanbat National University, in Republic of Korea. He received his Ph.D. degree (Chemical Engineering) from Department of Chemical Engineering, Pohang University of Scince and Technology, in 1998. He researched as a Post-Doc. in Department of Civil Engineering, Northwestern University, United States, in 1999. He researched as a visiting professor in Department of Soil Science, Cornell University, United States, in 2012. His research interests comprise adsorption, nanoparticles, hydrogel, biochar, wastewater treatment, biodegradation, microbial energetics and modelling, bioreactor and process design, and soil remediation. Especially, he focuses on (1) developing new nanocomposite adsorbents for removal of various contaminants, (2) establishing a new theory in using hydrogel beads as adsorbents, and (3) producing the adsorbents in large scale and commercializing them in water and wastewater treatment industry.
