Sergio GomezSergio Gomez is a visual artist. He studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received an MA degree from Governors State University and an MFA degree from Northern Illinois University. He is known for his large-scale figurative abstration paintings and charcoal drawings exploring life cycles.Sergio's work has been the subject of more than forty-five solo exhibitions in the United States, Romania, Italy, Mexico, and Vienna. He has participated in over 150 group exhibitions in Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Austria, Italy, South Korea, England, Cairo, Belgium, and the United States. His work is in the National Museum of Mexican Art, Brauer Museum, and other public and private collections. Besides his studio work, Sergio Gomez is an active curator with a career of over 100 curated exhibitions since 2010. He is the owner of 33 Contemporary Gallery, curator and director of Exhibitions at the Zhou B. Art Center, founder of Amplified Art Network, and co-founder of The Art NXT Level Academy, an online coaching program for artists. He has curated special projects for the Chicago Park District, Chicago Garfield Park Conservatory, ArtSpot Miami International Art Fair, Museo Regionale di Scienze Naturali of Turin, National Museum of Mexican Art, and Expo Chicago Art Fair, among others.
